Our Story

Dream to Reality

The name of this restaurant was carefully chosen to communicate a deep bond with Neapolitan cuisine’s origins and traditions.

Two brothers, Pasquale and Antonio, share a very fundamental objective: a desire to share their land’s values, as well as an appreciation of its traditions.

The word ‘terrone ‘originates from ‘terra’; the warm, fertile land that Southern Italian farmers cherish for its beauty and cultivate for its delicious produce.

For the two brothers, being a ‘terrone’ is a privilege; they understood what good, genuine food is about, from a very young age, through the simple yet delicious dishes that their ‘nonna’ used to cook. In grandma’s food, they found the sunshine, and such wonderful flavours that they were never going to forget.

In Italy, they trained as catering professionals; they started their working experience and enhanced their catering skills under the guidance of people with relevant industry expertise.

When they moved to London, they were given the opportunity to work in prestigious restaurants where they further enhanced their personal and professional skills.

In 2015, Pasquale and Antonio created ‘Pizza Maria’, a very successful UK project.

Using an icon of the workers of Southern Italy the so called Piaggio Ape the  three-wheeler  converted into a mobile pizzeria , with aim of bringing the true and authentic Neapolitan pizza to the street of london

The brothers’ dream of becoming successful restaurateurs became a reality in 2019, when they opened ‘I Terroni’, a restaurant that reflects their knowledge and experience acquired through the years, combined with a flavour of Southern Italian authenticity.

Pasquale is the chef, he carries out his work with care and attention, meticulous even in the details, he puts into play not only excellence but also aesthetic taste.

Antonio with his availability towards others, knows how to find time and the way to make everyone feel at ease, offering an impeccabl, and professional service, creating an atmosphere of cordiality and respect.
